Honeywell Aerospace Technology's "Automation & Digitization" team is looking for a Full Stack Engineering Developer to support Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) and Operations. The role involves designing, developing, and deploying Ignition-based solutions for industrial automation projects to enhance manufacturing processes, optimize operations, and improve the company's competitive edge.
Requirements
- Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Python, C-Sharp or C++.
- Familiar with communication protocols like MQTT, OPC, Kafka, REST/SOAP API
- Experience with Database Platforms like MSSQL, Oracle, Postgres
- Ignition certified (Inductive Automation)
- Experience with equipment programmable logic control (PLC) & industrial robot programming.
- Understanding of AGILE practices, experience in all phases of development process
- Experience with Ignition modules such as Vision, Perspective, MES, and Reporting
Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced digital solutions for aerospace applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation technologies into existing processes.
- Conduct feasibility studies to identify areas for adoption of digital technology.
- To integrate new and/or existing equipment and interfaces to other MES and SPC utilities as needed
- Meet with Operations team members, often in the manufacturing areas to build business requirements and understand the needs
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes through the integration and optimization of software solutions.
- Stay updated on latest trends and advancements in software and incorporate relevant innovations into our projects
Other
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation engineering or related roles.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.
