Honeywell Aerospace Technology's "Automation & Digitization" team is looking for a Full Stack Engineering Developer to support Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) and Operations. The role involves designing, developing, and deploying Ignition-based solutions for industrial automation projects to enhance manufacturing processes, optimize operations, and improve the company's competitive edge.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Python, C-Sharp or C++.
  • Familiar with communication protocols like MQTT, OPC, Kafka, REST/SOAP API
  • Experience with Database Platforms like MSSQL, Oracle, Postgres
  • Ignition certified (Inductive Automation)
  • Experience with equipment programmable logic control (PLC) & industrial robot programming.
  • Understanding of AGILE practices, experience in all phases of development process
  • Experience with Ignition modules such as Vision, Perspective, MES, and Reporting

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement advanced digital solutions for aerospace applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation technologies into existing processes.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to identify areas for adoption of digital technology.
  • To integrate new and/or existing equipment and interfaces to other MES and SPC utilities as needed
  • Meet with Operations team members, often in the manufacturing areas to build business requirements and understand the needs
  • Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes through the integration and optimization of software solutions.
  • Stay updated on latest trends and advancements in software and incorporate relevant innovations into our projects

Other

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in automation engineering or related roles.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.
