The American Red Cross seeks an experienced Full Stack Lead- Microsoft Technologies to join their Humanitarian Services IT team to support applications that deliver ARC's Humanitarian Services mission, including disaster response and relief, service to the armed forces and their families, and international mission. The role involves working with mission partners on the discovery, design, development, and ongoing enhancement of their digital product portfolio.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of Microsoft Full Stack Development Experience.
- At least 2 years of Lead or solution architecture experience.
- 2+ years of experience working with Azure AI / Cognitive Services / Azure OpenAI
- Experience in API design, implementation, and/or operations.
- Experience in .NET development using Entity Framework, web services, and SOA concepts
- Experience with Git, Confluence, and JIRA.
- Architect and implement solutions leveraging Azure cloud services (App Services, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB).
Responsibilities
- Lead the development aspects of IT projects for humanitarian missions, including analysis, enhancement, installation, testing, and modification of technology solutions.
- Work in collaboration with a team of product managers, UX/service designers, business analysts, and business owners to ensure that user stories, scenarios, personas, and problems to be solved are clarified, prioritized, and documented, ensuring that they are ready for development.
- Lead a team of developers and provide coaching and guidance to ensure their success.
- Migrate legacy applications to cloud-first and API-first applications leveraging multiple technologies
- Convert user stories into technical designs and prototypes
- Architect and implement solutions leveraging Azure cloud services (App Services, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB).
- Integrate and optimize solutions with Azure AI services (Azure Cognitive Services, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Language Studio).

- The work location for this exciting opportunity is 100% virtual.
- The selected candidate will work remotely from home on an East Coast schedule (8am – 5pm core hours).
- Because the position supports the Disaster Cycles Support team, this will require IT application support after hours and on weekends, especially during a period of major disasters.
