The organization partners with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and community organizations to automate care coordination, reduce administrative workloads, and expand access to care for underserved patients. This team is seeking a full-stack product engineer to help design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions that streamline healthcare workflows and improve health equity.
Requirements
- Full stack development experience with modern web technologies.
- Experience writing tests to validate functionality, with some understanding of test-driven development.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and programming languages.
- Experience with Java/Kotlin, TypeScript/React, and SQL (strongly preferred).
- Previous experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into products (strongly preferred).
- Experience with the full testing pyramid, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure (strongly preferred).
- Familiarity with AWS, Terraform, or a diverse product background (nice to have).
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain full-stack features using TypeScript/React (frontend) and Kotlin (backend).
- Design and implement AI integrations to reduce administrative complexity in healthcare.
- Write comprehensive tests to ensure reliability and robustness.
- Continuously refactor codebase for clarity and efficiency.
- Take ownership of significant features from conception to deployment.
- Work with product and engineering stakeholders to architect scalable solutions.
- Learn and adapt to new technologies and approaches as needed.

- Collaborate with product teams to define, prototype, and ship features from concept to production.
- Translate user feedback and metrics into ongoing product improvements.
- 3-6 years of experience as an individual contributor in software engineering.
- Experience working independently and owning features.
- Strong communication skills, especially collaborating with non-engineering partners.
- Problem-solving mindset with a willingness to experiment and iterate quickly.
- Healthcare or regulated industry experience (nice to have).
