The Raptor Systems Modeling and Control Team needs to develop rapid, seamless processes to translate engine test data into accurate predictions of future performance for the most reliable and cutting-edge rocket engines in the world.
Requirements
- Programming experience in Python, C, .NET, Go, Scala, Java, or similar object-oriented language
- Frontend experience in Angular, React, or a similar JavaScript framework
- Production experience with infrastructure tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery systems
- Data driven analysis of complex systems
- Experience with data management, analysis, and presentation techniques
- 2+ years of full stack web development experience
Responsibilities
- Develop well-architected highly reliable and available web applications and data pipelines that are used to clean, curate, explore, and understand raptor engine performance data across hundreds of units and operations
- Frontend application development: deliver well-tested, easy-to-use, and maintainable JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS code from the ground up
- Backend development: deliver well-tested, performant, and maintainable Python, C/.NET and Java code from the ground up
- Develop tools to aid in mission planning and design and vet proposed mission profiles against engine history and design to maximize performance and reliability
- Develop data trending and analysis portals to make sense of the rich engine performance dataset, present that data to the broader raptor engineering community in a comprehensible and explorable way to enact improvements to manufacturing and engine hardware design
- Assist with anomaly resolution and work directly with engineers of every raptor sub-component to develop tools to improve time-to-insight
- Collaborate with engineers across the company to extend and improve interoperability among existing tools
Other
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a STEM discipline OR 3+ years of professional experience building full-stack software in lieu of a degree
- 1+ years of experience building full-stack software
