PlayStation is looking for a full-stack software engineer to join their agile high-performance Dev Team and contribute to the Best Place to Play by applying software development skills and Web technologies to delight users with innovative features.
Requirements
- Solid base in Computer Science, understanding of OOP, Data Structures, and Design Patterns.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- 2+ years of experience with designing and developing apps, plus experience in services integration.
- Strong programming skills using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, JSON. Knowledge of C/C++
- Experience in Java or other server programming languages like Python
- Familiarity with popular JavaScript UI frameworks, React and React Native, Node.js, and Restful APIs.
- Works with Docker and Kubernetes in current role
Responsibilities
- Work as part of an Agile Scrum team to design and develop end-to-end RNPS/Javascript-based applications in the front-end, or Java/JS/Graph QL in the backend, delivering highly scalable applications running on the PS5 console.
- Collaborate with UX designers and Product Management on requirements.
- Investigate and Resolve reported Defects and work with the QE team members to close on the issues.
- Work on continuous improvement of software, by profiling, refactoring and optimizing the code.
- Work with limited supervision under tight time constraints and respond to rapidly evolving requirements.
- Own sharable features and components across several projects and be accountable for the results.
- Ability to support and develop SDK/Sample Programs in native C++ code as needed

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Equivalent industry experience will be evaluated.
