Speed & Function is hiring a Full-Stack Engineer (React, Next.js, PHP) to join a long-term project for a major US media brand used by millions. The role involves working with an international team on a system that requires strong engineering decisions, solid performance, and scalable architecture.
Requirements
- React, Next.js (SSR/ISR), TypeScript
- GraphQL, Apollo
- PHP (including legacy refactoring)
- Node.js
- AWS Lambda, DynamoDB
- Understanding of scalable cloud systems
- CI/CD experience
- Strong debugging skills
- Ability to contribute to documentation and architecture
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain features on both frontend and backend
- Work with Next.js (SSR/ISR), React, TypeScript, GraphQL/Apollo
- Support and modernize PHP components, including legacy code
- Use AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB)
- Write tests, debug production issues, and keep code quality high
- Join code reviews and architectural discussions
- Collaborate daily with engineers, PMs, DevOps, and the Engineering Manager
