Formlabs is looking to build and scale their new print-on-demand service, Form Now, to bring professional 3D printing to customers faster and more affordably. This involves developing and improving the custom Manufacturing Execution System (MES) that powers their production line and ensures efficient factory operations.

Requirements

  • Proven track record as a Full-stack Web Developer with experience in a production environment.
  • Experience with Python/Django.
  • Experience with Next.js and React.js.
  • Experience with 3D models, processing, or analysis.
  • Experience with web development in a mixed local/cloud hybrid setup.
  • Background working with hardware or equipment, or an appreciation for the bridge between software and the physical world.
  • Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement core software features for the Form Now print-on-demand service.
  • Architect and build the next generation of factory software, including our custom Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
  • Create robust backend code using Python/Django, and user-facing frontend code with Next.js and React.js.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with factory operators, product managers, and leadership to define and deliver new features and integrations.
  • Take full ownership of your projects, from initial scoping and development to testing, implementation, and ongoing support.
  • Maintain and improve our existing codebase, ensuring reliability and scalability in a production environment.
