Zoox is looking for software engineers to build the tools that power their autonomous ride sharing service, specifically focusing on the Operational Tools Team to support the safe and effective use of their autonomous robotaxi fleet.
Requirements
- Solid foundation in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS or Python
- Experience with a Front End UI Framework (e.g., Vue, React, Svelte) or a web framework (e.g., Flask, FastAPI)
- Proficiency in a low-level language such as Java, Kotlin, C, C++, or Rust.
- Familiarity with low-level Linux system protocols, firmware, and ECUs.
- Experience developing tools that support operations.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement highly scalable and reliable web applications to support Zoox's autonomous robotaxi service under the supervision of more senior engineers
- Collaborate with software engineering teams, PMs, designers to build new features.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers to enhance existing software systems by optimizing latency, CPU/memory usage, and database queries.
- build full stack web applications to monitor and support our fleet at scale
- provide in-vehicle visualization systems
- provide live ride support to our growing rider base.
