The company is looking to scale and enhance its products and services, and needs a Tech Lead to guide the technical direction and architecture for key systems and services.
Requirements
- Building large-scale backend services and APIs (e.g., REST, RPC, GraphQL)
- Developing front-end applications using modern frameworks (React strongly preferred; Vue or Angular acceptable)
- Designing and modeling data across relational, NoSQL, and other storage systems
- Proficiency in at least 3 programming languages, with Python highly desired (others such as C, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript are acceptable)
- Strong experience designing, deploying, and scaling distributed cloud-based systems using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI)
- Utilizing Infrastructure as Code
- Prior healthcare / health tech experience, or experience in other regulated industries, particularly with data privacy and compliance requirements
Responsibilities
- Guide the technical direction and architecture for key systems and services
- Collaborate with engineers and product partners to translate requirements into clear technical plans and milestones
- Help organize and facilitate engineering work, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and technical design discussions
- Lead technical reviews and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback to elevate team quality
- Surface and coordinate resolution of technical risks, blockers, and cross-team dependencies
- Act as a primary technical point of contact for cross-functional stakeholders
- Remain hands-on, contributing to the design and development of critical systems

- 3+ years of experience in a technical leadership capacity
- Experience leading a group of engineers and driving technical delivery
- Proven success facilitating sprint planning, technical discussions, backlog management, and cross-functional collaboration
- Skilled at mentoring peers through code reviews, architectural feedback, and fostering a culture of technical excellence and shared ownership
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
- Work is primarily performed in a remote office setting
