The partner company of Jobgether is looking to solve the problem of leading the end-to-end design and development of a web platform that supports cutting-edge geophysical research and education in the United States.
Requirements
- Proficiency in front-end technologies (JavaScript, CSS, HTML) and modern frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, Quasar).
- Experience with back-end development languages, cloud infrastructure (AWS), and DevOps tools (Docker, GitLab CI/CD).
- Hands-on experience with content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal.
- Familiarity with web accessibility standards, responsive design, and user-centered design principles.
- Knowledge of big data workflows, ML/AI integration, and scientific data presentation is a plus.
- Experience as a Full-Stack Developer or UI/UX Engineer with a portfolio demonstrating web application design and development.
- Proven experience with cloud environment and scalable web architecture.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of a new web stack within a cloud environment.
- Maintain, revise, and evolve existing web assets to complement new platforms and enhance user experience.
- Develop and implement consistent content management systems (CMS) to ensure seamless content delivery.
- Design intuitive information architectures and user flows for diverse audiences, including scientists, educators, and the public.
- Build responsive, scalable, and high-performance front-end and back-end web architecture.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical and design solutions.
- Ensure integration with existing data systems, APIs, and cloud-based services.
Other
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in geoscience, computer science, engineering, or related field; equivalent professional experience also considered.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
- Travel up to 20% may be required.
