The Boeing Company is looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join the Space Mission Systems (SMS) Evolved Strategic Satellite (ESS) Mission Planning ground program, which is a key component of the U.S. military’s nuclear command, control, and communications (NC3) network.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in foundational Computer Science knowledge and object-oriented design and software patterns
- Experience with distributed version control systems such as GitHub, IBM Rational Team Concert, etc.
- Experience with Agile or SAFe practices, including daily standup, User Stories, Sprints, and Release Planning
- Experience with Java/C++/Python object oriented programming on full stack software projects/programs
- Experience with one or more of the following: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JS frameworks (REACT, Open Layers, etc.), Spring Framework, Hibernate, RDBMS, noSQL, REST/Open API
- Experience using dependency management (e.g. Ivy, Maven, Gradle)
- Experience developing and maintaining SOAP, RMI, REST APIs and interfaces
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test full stack mission planning software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards.
- Leads review, analysis, and translation of customer requirements into initial design of software products.
- Coordinates the development, maintenance, enhancement and optimization of software products and functionalities for systems integrations.
- Contribute to activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products.
- Debugs and leads resolution of issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products.
- Leads development, establishment, monitoring and improvement of software processes, tools and key performance metrics that align projects with organizational goals and industry benchmarks.
- Consults on software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.

- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Active TS/SCI or TS/SAP clearance
- 10% travel required
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15
