Large-scale language models need high-quality training data to democratize world-class education, keep pace with emerging infectious threats, and support mycology research worldwide, specifically in the area of fungal pathogens at a company
Requirements
- Expertise in fungal pathogens, medical mycology, antifungal resistance, host–fungus interactions, fungal virulence mechanisms, environmental reservoirs, and clinical diagnostics
- Knowledge of lab scenarios and theoretical fungal pathogen questions
- Experience with fungal culture techniques, staining and microscopy, antigen detection, molecular diagnostics, antifungal susceptibility testing, and biosafety procedures
- Peer-reviewed publications, clinical or lab experience with fungal pathogens, or fieldwork in mycological surveillance
- PhD degree in microbiology, medical mycology, pathology, or a closely related life-science field
- Clear, metacognitive communication—showing your work
- Secure computer and high-speed internet
Responsibilities
- Converse with the model on lab scenarios and theoretical fungal pathogen questions
- Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness
- Capture reproducible error traces
- Suggest improvements to our prompt engineering and evaluation metrics
- Challenge advanced language models on topics like Candida, Aspergillus, Cryptococcus, endemic fungi, fungal culture techniques, staining and microscopy, antigen detection, molecular diagnostics, antifungal susceptibility testing, and biosafety procedures
- Document every failure mode so we can harden model reasoning
- Teach the model that will teach the world about fungal pathogens
