The Hershey Company is looking to support the implementation and continuous improvement of safety and environmental programs within a dynamic food manufacturing facility.
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools
- Familiarity with safety programs such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Hazard Communication (HazCom), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Understanding of food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA) and environmental compliance standards
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of production areas to identify physical, chemical, and biological hazards specific to food manufacturing.
- Support the implementation of corrective actions to mitigate risks and enhance worker safety and product integrity.
- Assist in evaluating sanitation practices, allergen controls, and hygiene protocols from an EHS perspective.
- Help interpret and apply OSHA and EPA regulations within the context of food production.
- Participate in the development and delivery of safety training programs tailored to food manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Maintenance, Operations) to support safe process changes, equipment installations, and facility upgrades.
- Maintain and update EHS documentation, including safety data sheets (SDS), incident reports, and environmental permits.

- Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Occupational Safety, Food Science, or a related field.
