Chevron is looking to optimize its positions and deliver profitable results in the global gasoline paper markets by developing and executing trading strategies.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of refining economics, blending, and arbitrage flows (USGC, NYH, Europe, Asia).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
- Proven experience in gasoline trading, with strong knowledge of paper instruments and hedging strategies.
- Preferably 3+ years of trading experience in Refined Products.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute trading strategies for gasoline paper markets to optimize Chevron’s US and global positions to generate profit.
- Work with Analytical team to develop fundamentals to spot market trends and identify opportunities.
- Collaborate with physical traders to align paper strategies with physical flows and blending economics.
- Manage risk exposure through derivatives (swaps, futures, options) and ensure compliance with internal risk limits.
- Negotiate and execute financial commodity transactions across multiple time horizons (spot, term).
- Maintain strong relationships with brokers, counterparties, and internal stakeholders to enhance market intelligence.
- Ensure adherence to compliance standards and Chevron’s Operational Excellence principles in all trading activities.
