Requirements
- Familiarity with machine learning, deep learning, GPU applications, or quantum computing
- Background in optimization or power systems
- Hands-on coding experience
- Experience with artificial intelligence and conversational AI technologies for developing intelligent assistants
Responsibilities
- work on solving interesting problems related to Wholesale Energy Markets, including Unit Commitment, Economical Dispatch, Optimal Power flow and other software solutions.
- Machine Learning/Deep Learning in Power System Optimization
- GPU Applications in Unit Commitment (UC)
- Improving System Inertia and Frequency Stability with UC (Considering Virtual Inertia Control)
- Quantum Computing in UC
- Intelligent Conversational Assistant (Voice and Text Command) for Market Applications
Other
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s or Ph. D Degree program at an accredited university or credentialed software accelerator program.
- Degree focused on Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- Minimum cumulative or in-major 3.0/4.0 GPA.
- Must commit to working full time (40 hrs/wk) during the internship.
- Must be willing to work out of an office located in Bellevue, WA.
- Must have the ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship
- This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
