Travelers is seeking a (Gen AI) Data Engineer I to join their dynamic team to develop and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient solutions to support their Generative AI initiatives.
Requirements
- Four Years Of Programming/development Experience Preferred.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
- Experience with front-end frameworks/libraries like React.js and back-end frameworks/libraries.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and related services (e.g., AWS Lambda, S3, EC2, RDS, Redshift).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
- Strong understanding of database systems and data processing frameworks (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Spark, Databricks).
- Good understanding and experience of Gen AI concepts like Agentic Frameworks, RAG, LLM, MCP, Agentic AI, Chunking, and Hyper-parameters.
Responsibilities
- Develop, and deploy solutions for Gen AI data engineering activities, including data ingestion, processing, storage, and analysis.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to create Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions and integrate LLM models into production-grade applications.
- Develop APIs and microservices to facilitate data access and integration across various components of the Gen AI platform.
- Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and documentation to ensure the reliability, maintainability, and scalability of our software systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and Gen AI, applying them to enhance our platform.
Other
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role, with a strong focus on data engineering and Gen AI applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent training with data tools, techniques, and manipulation.
