Regions is looking to hire a Data Engineer to support the Data and Analytics organization by designing, optimizing, and developing data pipelines to support machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) models. The role will work with a cross-functional team on feature engineering and scoring pipelines, and support various data-related roles within the company to ensure optimal data delivery architecture.
Requirements
- One (1) year of working programming experience in Python/PySpark, Scala, SQL
- One (1) year of working experience in Big Data Technology in Hadoop, Hive, Impala, Spark, or Kafka
- Experience building data solutions at scale
- Experience designing and building relational data structures in multiple environments
- Experience with DevOps principals, CI/CD, and Software Development Lifecycle
- Experience with No-SQL databases
- Experience working with large-scale data Lakehouses
Responsibilities
- Designing, optimizing, and developing data pipelines to support machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) models
- Works with a cross functional team of Data Scientists and Software Developers on feature engineering and scoring pipelines
- Supports software developers, database architects, data analysts, and data scientists on data initiatives
- Ensures optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects
- Partners with Regions Technology partners to Design, Build, and Maintain the data-based structures and systems in support of Data and Analytics and Data Product use cases
- Builds data pipelines to collect and arrange data and manage data storage in Regions’ big data environment
- Builds robust, testable programs for moving, transforming, and loading data using big data tools such as Spark

- This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week.
