The Lead AI Engineer will be the senior technical anchor and hands-on leader for the US-based engineering team, responsible for tackling complex coding challenges, mentoring engineers, driving technical excellence, and setting standards for code quality, design, and implementation. This role is pivotal in both new development and the critical integration of acquired and internal AI systems.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on Python.
- At least 3 years of experience building and deploying production-level AI/ML systems.
- Expertise in developing RESTful APIs and working with microservices architectures.
- Deep experience with AI/ML libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, Pandas, NumPy) and deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and data processing pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex AI models and software components for our core products.
- Write clean, high-quality, and scalable Python code for production systems.
- Mentor and guide other engineers on the team, conducting code reviews and promoting best practices in software development.
- Act as the primary technical liaison between the US and India development teams to ensure architectural and code consistency.
- Collaborate with the AI Architect to translate architectural vision into tangible, well-engineered code.
- Drive the technical execution of key initiatives, including the integration of document evaluation models into our platform.
