Cosm is looking for interns to help develop state-of-the-art planetarium display systems, immersive dome structures, immersive software, and other cutting-edge entertainment technology to bring experiences to life in immersive environments.

Requirements

  • use your sound design and Unreal Engine skills to create immersive soundscapes, from ambient effects to spatialized music
  • coordinate immersive content pipelines, manage assets, and support post-production logistics
  • work on Continuous Improvement, working with engineers and ops leaders to analyze workflows, propose solutions, and implement real efficiency upgrades
  • support the tech infrastructure that powers our venues
  • help resolve real-time issues, maintain systems, and optimize tools across departments
  • create educational materials, visualize complex astrophysical data, and contribute to outreach initiatives across the global planetarium community
  • support the creation and analysis of consumer campaigns with research, strategy, and data-driven insights

Responsibilities

  • developing state-of-the-art planetarium display systems and immersive dome structures
  • dive into immersive software development
  • work on anything from QA and media playback to full-stack tools and hardware integrations
  • support A/V systems, lighting, and live production across our venues
  • work on optimizing the customer journey by analyzing performance data, improving self-service tools, and contributing to the systems that support our front-line teams
  • assist in evaluating internal priorities and market trends to inform scheduling and content planning
  • assist with feature development, UX improvements, and cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, Marketing, and Engineering teams

  • Ideally, Junior or Senior at the start of the program
  • Available to work onsite in a hybrid capacity
  • Available to work 20 hours per week during the defined Intern period
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
