Responsibilities
- Support the crew in collection of site and utility information;
- Gain exposure to drone and scanning technologies;
- Preparing technical reports, survey plans and layout plans for projects such as utility construction, road and parking layout, and site improvements;
- Perform construction layout;
- Assist with office tasks including, but not limited to CAD drafting, data download, deed and map research, and filing;
- Maintain survey equipment and initiate repairs when necessary;
- Remain current on surveying practices, guidelines, and best practices; attend internal training to expand knowledge and skills;
Requirements
- Student actively pursuing or considering a course of study in Engineering Technology, Surveying, or Civil Engineering;
Other
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities;
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment;
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater is preferred.
