Xcel Energy is looking to improve the integrity and accuracy of their gas and electric distribution mapping by supporting data integrity projects within the Geospatial Project Team.
Requirements
Experience or Proficiency with data analytics tools.
Develop and execute custom queries on maps and database information.
Compare GIS data to asbuilt documentation, identify discrepancies and request verification of data.
Completed 2 years of undergraduate coursework, including classes in GIS, remote sensing, or computer science and geography.
Enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in GIS, geography, computer science, or related field.

collaborating with engineers and project managers
Enter new geographic features from base maps & aerial maps or realign existing objects.

Able to commute to the service center, plant, or corporate officein Denver, CO or Minneapolis, MN.
Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part time during the fall(up to 20 hours a week).
3.0 GPA (out of a 4.0 scale) or higher
