GHD is looking for Geotechnical Engineering Interns to assist technical staff with field and lab testing of construction materials like soils, asphalt, and concrete, and support engineers with geotechnical fieldwork, soil classification, and lab testing.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in either Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field.
Responsibilities
- Produce accurate reports for others by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and inputting it into standard formats.
- Contribute to well proposals by analyzing and interpreting geological/geophysical field data.
- Help senior colleagues collect and analyze data by carrying out routine reservoir characterization and analysis tasks.
- Contribute to the development of, and implement feasibility testing of, proposed engineering solutions to provide feedback and data to validate the design.
- Use data management systems to access specific information as and when required.
- Research and suggest technical developments to improve the quality of the website/portal/software and supporting infrastructure to better meet users’ needs.
- Support technical troubleshooting efforts, aiding in the quick and accurate identification, analysis, and resolution of technical issues with equipment and experiments.
