Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is looking to solve technical and analytical problems in their cultural resources practice by providing GIS data sets, exhibits, and managing data across several states.
Requirements
- Full knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS version 10.x products, including Basic, Standard, and Advanced
- Full knowledge of geodatabase creation and data management in ArcCatalog
- Experience managing and completing post processing of GPS data
- Experience in field data collection using Trimble GPS units; Survey 123; and Field Maps
- Experience with programming and scripting (Python, Shell, VB, Javascript)
- Familiarity with ArcGIS Server
- Experience with ESRI's SDE, SQL Server, or other relational databases
Responsibilities
- Develop GIS data sets, exhibits, and manage data across several different states
- Gather, analyze, and integrate spatial data from varied sources
- Perform spatial analysis, compute environmental impacts, design and update GIS databases
- Assist application development teams for ESRI based workflows and Web applications
- Create associated metadata
- Assist in GPS operation and data collection in the field
- Manage and complete post processing of GPS data
Other
- BS/BA in Geography/GIS, Archaeology, or related degree
- 1-4 years of experience using GIS technology in a professional setting
- 1-4 years of experience in cultural resource management or related field
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team
- Demonstrated ability to proactively communicate, speak, and write professionally
