Maricopa County's Enterprise Technology & Innovation department is seeking a GIS Analyst to drive digital transformation by leveraging Esri ArcGIS products, providing GIS application programming, establishing GIS workflows, offering mapping support, and creating/maintaining geographic data and metadata.
Requirements
- Experience working with GIS applications or similar
- Experience with designing, developing, and maintaining products such as trail and planning maps, Survey123, Operation Dashboards, ArcGIS Hub, and Insights.
- Experience in compiling, manipulating, and analyzing geospatial data.
- Esri certifications related to analysis, cartography, or data management.
- UAV pilot license (FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate)
- Design clear, accurate, and visually appealing maps, charts, and web maps using GIS software such as ArcGIS Pro or ArcGIS Online.
- Build and configure interactive web maps, story maps, and dashboards using ArcGIS Online, Experience Builder, or similar tools.

- Edit and manage GIS feature classes and layers
- Access, interpret, and analyze geospatial datasets stored in enterprise systems or public repositories
- Use GIS tools to conduct spatial queries, overlays, buffers, and other geoprocessing operations to solve geographic problems or answer spatial questions
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Engineering, Computer Science, or related
- A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a basis
- The ability to coordinate GIS technology with other County departments and vendors to leverage existing GIS technology
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally, 10 lbs. frequently, or negligible amounts constantly, OR requires walking or standing to a significant degree
- Must pass a pre-employment background and/or fingerprint investigation as required by statute or policy, including drug and alcohol testing requirements for positions designated as safety-sensitive
