The Department of Ecology is looking to hire a GIS Application Developer to ensure the accurate and efficient use of spatial environmental data for state systems, troubleshoot complex issues, ensure compliance with federal data standards, and identify long-term, sustainable solutions for the Water Quality Program.
Requirements
- using Esri ArcGIS technology (ArcGIS Desktop and Server, ArcGIS Online and ArcSDE products). Experience includes but not limited to analyzing, designing, implementing, maintaining and/or programming in largescale and/or organization-wide information systems.
- Four (4) years of information technology experience programming web-based software applications or developing information systems architecture using Microsoft development technologies such as C-Sharp/ASP.Net MVC, SOL Server, TFS, JSON, RESTful Web Services, LINO and HTML5/JavaScript for mobile applications. At least two of the four years of experience should be within the last 4 years.
Responsibilities
- Work with business teams to identify spatial data and mapping needs
- Support mobile GIS data collection and workflows
- Review of data elements and mapping needs for Water Quality’s permit systems
- Work with Agency GIS to implement standards and support data integration
- Troubleshoot Existing GIS workflows
- Manage reference tables
- Code fixes, or create user stories for other developers in the team
