Requirements
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience as a GIS Developer.
- Proven experience in Mapbox or equivalent GIS tools, Python programming, and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Strong background in Azure DevOps, event/message-based architecture, mobile or RESTful API development, CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, and Agile/Scrum practice.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following technologies: TileStache, Pg2b3dm, Mapnik, Fiona, Libpysal, Shapely, GDAL, or Tippecanoe.
- Experience with .NET framework and Feature Manipulation Engine (FME)
Responsibilities
- Apply geospatial programming, statistical modeling, and analytical tools to identify trends and drive business insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop automated GIS processes for routing and territory optimization.
- Contribute to the planning, design, and execution of geospatial software projects, ensuring high performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, mobile GIS tools, and event-driven architecture for real-time spatial data processing.
- Utilize cloud-based tools such as Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment and development cycles.
- Deliver secure, testable, and reliable code using Microsoft development frameworks and modern object-oriented programming principles.
- Conduct unit testing and troubleshoot complex GIS development issues.
