Faith Technologies, Inc. is looking for a GIS Intern to support Real Estate in various projects related to data gathering, mapping, and data visualization, utilizing GIS technology and its applications in real-world projects.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in Bachelor's degree program in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or related field.
- Knowledge of GIS software
- Ability to collect and acquire geospatial data from various sources
- Ability to conduct spatial analysis using GIS software
- Ability to create maps and visualizations using GIS software
- Ability to perform quality assurance checks on GIS data and outputs
- Ability to document workflows, procedures, and findings
Responsibilities
- Assists in the collection and acquisition of geospatial data from various sources such as satellite imagery, utilities, aerial photographs, and field surveys.
- Organizes, cleans, and maintains databases to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
- Conducts spatial analysis using GIS software to analyze geographic patterns, relationships, and trends. Performs tasks such as buffering, overlay analysis, and proximity analysis to support project objectives.
- Creates maps and visualizations using GIS software to communicate spatial information effectively. Designs map layouts, symbology, and labeling for clarity and usability.
- Performs quality assurance checks on GIS data and outputs to ensure accuracy and completeness. Identifies and resolves errors or discrepancies as needed.
- Documents workflows, procedures, and findings to facilitate knowledge sharing and project reproducibility. Prepares technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborates with other team members to support project objectives and deliverables. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and insights.

- Travel: 5-10%
- Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. Ability to work a flexible schedule is necessary.
