Merrick & Company is seeking a GIS student for a paid summer internship to work on rewarding client projects and gain technical experience in the field of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) processing.
Requirements
- College courses in ESRI ArcGIS/ArcPro is required
- Knowledge and/or courses in GIS including: Data management, GIS, Cartographic design
- Familiarity with basic operations in ESRI ArcGIS/ArcPro software including: Creation and editing of feature classes, Attribute edits, Labeling and annotation, Projection and scale, Basic cartographic methodologies
- Familiarity with ArcGIS Online, Survey 123, and Field Maps
- Knowledge of GIS
- Knowledge of Cartographic design
- Knowledge of Data management
Responsibilities

Other
- Must have graduation date after August 2026 to be eligible
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geography, GIS, Geomatics, or a similar major
- Must be currently enrolled and entering junior year or higher of degree program
- Must meet expectations for attendance and punctuality
- Must have a demonstrable good attendance record
