Nike is looking for a Footwear Product Developer II to convert project briefs and 2D design renderings into 3D samples that meet consumer needs, driving product excellence for Global Football consumers and elite athletes.
Requirements
- Knowledge of product construction concepts, materials, and the product creation life cycle
- Demonstrates base level understanding of Consumer Product or Hardgoods
- Ability to read technical drawings, sketches and/or 3D digital files is a plus
- Knowledge of footwear pattern engineering, tooling or manufacturing processes is a plus
Responsibilities
- Convert a project brief and a 2D design rendering into a 3D sample that meets the needs of our consumer.
- Provide project and process direction within the project team to create highly technical performance product.
- Lead product teams through the creation process to bring to life high-level footwear and ensure on-time delivery of product according to critical dates and performance/profitability goals.
- Develop and utilize footwear knowledge to drive results and appropriately achieve project designs.
- Work with multi-functional teammates to ensure manufacturability of product concepts.
- Apply fundamental understanding of multiple sports and standard methodologies to identify product and testing requirements and assure product performance through physical and field-testing (fit).
- Recommend and specify material, component and construction options to meet key features and product performance goals.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Design, Engineering, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience or training
- A minimum of 2 years directly relevant work experience
- Proven verbal and written communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives
- Strong team-first mentality that instills trust to deliver product excellence
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
- Experience in project management, with an ability to prioritize multiple workstreams with competing priorities to deliver on tight timelines
- Creative problem-solving skills from concepts to application
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
