Modine is looking to improve and sustain its profitability, technical edge, and commercial unique selling proposition (USP) within the DC vertical segment, specifically for the CRAH and Fanwall product category.
Requirements
- Experience with technical products and manufacturing businesses is an acceptable alternative to engineering qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Determining the type and scope of new products developed, prioritise the development of those new products and lead new product commercialisation.
- Manage the entire life cycle of the product group within the business from strategic planning, product definition, new product launch and product obsolescence.
- Operate as an internal voice of our customers across the product development teams through understanding market requirements, product definition, internal training and launch activities.
- Research and assess market size , profitability , CAGR and key trends and recommend/ influence/ prioritise the product roadmap
- Assess the competition - understand and develop new and existing areas of USP
- Determine pricing by utilising market research data, reviewing production and sales costs and forecasting volumes.
- Recommend the nature and scope of current and future product lines based on a clear value proposition to the business.
Other
- A bachelor’s degree is required for this position, preferably in engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 5 years of professional experience with applicable products/markets is preferred.
- Some of which in a commercial or client facing role is also preferable – Sales, Applications, Marketing, Engineering.
