Kontoor Brands, Inc. is looking for a Global Textile Sourcing Developer to facilitate fabric developments, manage go-to-market timelines, and drive strategic fabric rationalization to ensure fabric meets design expectations, cost targets, sourcing strategies, and quality requirements.
Requirements
- Knowledge of fabric construction, dying, finishing
- Knowledge of denim washes and wet processing is a plus
- Complex database management
- Utilize technical knowledge to provide and communicate realistic solutions when fabric performance and shade problems arise.
- Maintain global fabric database to leverage fabric information to significantly improve Kontoor’s knowledge of construction and characteristics.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate fabric developments from initial brief all the way through salesmen samples, making sure fabric meet design expectation, meet cost target, sourced in line with Kontoor’s bigger sourcing strategy and meets all quality requirements.
- Manage the go-to-market calendar milestones and deliverables as outlines for the specific brand and category assigned to you.
- Review, communicate and address risks during the development process. Utilize technical knowledge to provide and communicate realistic solutions when fabric performance and shade problems arise.
- Drive strategic fabric rationalization by partnering with design and merchandising to reduce the amount of fabrics in our portfolio
- Counter Source Development: Facilitate the initiation and review of fabric counter developments to support Kontoor’s strategic initiatives.
- Process Improvement: Continually assess current processes and systems/tools for opportunities to drive efficiency improvement and speed to market.
- Conduct market research and material research to facilitate innovative, strategic, and new development to support Kontoor’s short- and long-term product initiatives.
Other
- 3 years minimum Textile Manufacturing or Apparel related experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- Effective communication skills, both orally and written
