Jack Henry is looking to digitally transform and empower community banks and credit unions by delivering technology solutions that provide enhanced and streamlined user experiences. The Exception Item Processing (EIP) engineering team is focused on building the next-generation platform, including AI-assisted functionality, to support this digital transformation in banking and payments.
Requirements
- Demonstrated foundational knowledge or early experience in relevant areas of interest Software development principles and basic programming experience in at least one language (Go, Python, .NET or similar)
- Familiarity with or interest in Go programming language.
- Exposure to cloud-hosted microservices, REST APIs, and Kubernetes environments (academic or personal projects welcome).
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, development and testing of production microservices in Go within the Exception Item Processing platform.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and analysts to build, deploy and enhance features that drive automation and AI-assisted decisioning.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and team discussions-culminating in a demo of your completed feature or enhancement at the end of the internship.

- Pursuing a degree in: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS) or a related technical discipline.
