Amgen's Center for Observational Research (CfOR) needs to generate Real-World Evidence (RWE) to support business needs across a product's lifecycle, informing decision-making from early development to clinical trial design and the safety/efficacy of medicines. This role will focus on Osteoporosis and Cardiovascular disease research.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a doctorate program in Epidemiology or other subject with high observational research content
  • Experience in Cardiovascular disease, Osteoporosis, or relevant therapeutic areas
  • Experience in literature reviews and the design, execution, and analysis of observational research studies within Public Health or Pharmaceutical setting
  • Experience creating data visualizations and communicating scientific evidence to a variety of audiences

Responsibilities

  • Assist with conducting literature reviews and design / execution of observational studies.
  • Develop visualizations to support communicating scientific information to a variety of audiences.
  • Assist in developing statistical analysis plans, code lists, or other documentation for CfOR studies.

  • 18 years or older
  • Graduated with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Currently enrolled in an MBA program for an MBA internship OR a Master’s program for a Master’s internship OR a PharmD program for a PharmD internship OR Ph.D. for a PhD internship from an accredited college or university and completion of the first year of MBA OR Master’s OR Pharm D OR Ph.D. program before the internship starts
  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment
  • Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
  • Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
