American University's Data & Technology department needs support for data reporting and database management within the AU Career Center and Office of Merit Awards, aiming to improve data integrity and provide meaningful insights to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Familiarity with data analysis tools, such as MS Excel and Microstrategy.
- Experience or interest in using and modifying excel macros and power automate.
- Experience or interest in database management.
Responsibilities
- Support data extract, transform, and load processes for maintenance of Handshake data and undertake manual maintenance of Handshake data and accounts as needed.
- Assist Systems Administrator with collecting and presenting data to management and to stake holders in meaningful reports (engagement reports, outcomes reports, activity reports etc.).
- Must be able to use primary software tools, such as Qualtrics and Handshake, in conjunction with Excel.
- Help install new software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat) and set up hardware (PC's, printers, webcams).
- First-tier technical support, troubleshoot and resolve (or refer) hardware and software support requests from Career Center staff and student employees with a special focus on tech support for Career Center applications (e.g., Handshake, etc.).
- Provide technical support for additional Career Center software including kiosks, Google Analytics, and Teams/SharePoint Sites.
- Help present updated workflows and tech guidance to CC staff.
