The Boeing Company is looking for a Ground Mission Systems Software Architect to help lead the technical approaches to multiple satellite ground-based programs, campaigns, and research and development projects for the Space Mission Systems (SMS) Ground Mission Management (GMM) team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in foundational Computer Science knowledge and object-oriented design and software patterns
• Experience leading software development projects
• Experience in agile software development environment and devops methodologies
• Experience with distributed version control systems such as GitHub, IBM Rational Team Concert, etc.
• 10+ years’ experience in Java/C++ programming on full stack software projects/programs
• Experience with one or more of the following: HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, Firebug and JS frameworks (REACT, jQuery, jQuery UI, Open Layers, etc.), Spring Framework, Hibernate, RDBMS, MongoDB, XML, SOAP, REST, WSDL/Web Service protocols
• Experience using dependency management (e.g. Ivy, Maven, Gradle)

Responsibilities

• Oversees the design, development, analyses, and maintenance of software systems
• Partners with appropriate stakeholders to oversee translation of software requirements and models that meet customer, operational and performance requirements
• Oversees completion of software system-level analyses to identify risk, issues and opportunities
• Oversees code reviews to ensure alignment to requirements and standards.
• Oversees review of product and process for alignment with project plans and industry standards
• Researches and oversees implementation of current and emerging software technologies, tools, and frameworks

• This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
• Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance post-start
• More than 10% travel
