Lockheed Martin Space is looking for software engineers to craft and build innovative solutions for their customers, specifically to design, implement, test, and maintain object-oriented ground system software applications.
Requirements
- Strong Software Development, Software Engineering background, with a track record of successful project delivery
- Experience developing ground subsystems
- Demonstrated expertise in Scaled Agile development methodologies
- Meaningful experience designing and implementing software solutions using Java, C++, C-Sharp, Python
- Cloud/containerization experience with a good understanding of distributed systems and designing for scalability
- Experience developing microservices
- Proficient in using Git for version control and collaboration
Responsibilities
- You will design, implement, test, and maintain object-oriented ground system software applications using Java, C-Sharp, Angular, Python
- You will support modernization efforts geared toward achieving greater efficiency, security, automation and scalability
- You will collaborate with an enthusiastic team of software, systems, and test engineers using the Agile Development methodology
- Participate in progressing system capabilities from early design through site acceptance focused on software reuse, COTS/FOSS integrations, and innovative, affordable best practices
- Utilize state of the art commercial standard methodologies such as DevSecOps (automated testing, continuous integration, automated deployment, etc.)
- Develop microservices and work with distributed systems, designing for scalability
- Apply problem-solving skills to software engineering solutions
