Bil-Jax, Inc is seeking to oversee a small team within the Fabrication and Welding Department focused on scaffolding product manufacturing, ensuring quality standards and supporting team development in a fast-paced production environment.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders in English.
- Experience in welding and fabrication processes; familiarity with scaffolding products is a plus.
- PC literacy and ability to use hand-held scanners and production software.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to use production software.
- Knowledge of safety and quality standards in welding operations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support team members in the fabrication and welding of scaffolding components.
- Ensure proper handling, positioning, and assembly of parts using appropriate tools and equipment (e.g., hand and power tools).
- Oversee welding operations and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Conduct visual inspections of components and assemblies for accuracy, labeling, and design compliance.
- Verify fit, finish, and function of welded assemblies; correct minor deviations as needed.
- Assist in training new employees and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Proactively identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.

- Previous experience in a team lead or supervisory role in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
