ID.me is seeking to build the identity layer for the internet by defining and governing the resource primitives that power its SuperApp and Wallet. This involves ensuring consistency, reliability, and compliance of Platform APIs and events for internal and external consumption.
Requirements
- Proven track record of leading Platform or API product teams at scale.
- Strong technical background; able to partner effectively with engineering on schemas, contracts, and integrations.
- Deep understanding of IAM (Identity and Access Management) concepts, including authentication, authorization, RBAC/ABAC, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and policy enforcement.
- Experience with resource modeling, graph data structures, and event-driven architectures.
- Background in scaling APIs and platforms for both internal and external developer consumption.
- History of driving adoption of platform resources across multiple product domains.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as NIST 800-63, HIPAA, FedRAMP, and GDPR.
Responsibilities
- Define the multi-year roadmap for Platform resources, aligning with company strategy and external ecosystem standards (NIST, FIDO, ICAO, ISO, IATA).
- Ensure each Platform resource (e.g., Devices, Biometrics, Credentials) has clear semantics, schemas, lifecycle definitions, and event contracts.
- Oversee consistency across Persons and Organizations within the Identity Trust Graph.
- Support adoption and trust of domain-specific graphs (Shopping, Healthcare, Financial) that power personalization, fraud prevention, and partner integrations.
- Partner with the Developer Portal team to enforce consistency in API naming, versioning, error handling, and deprecation policies.
- Partner with Apps teams (Wallet, Domains, Core Experiences) to prioritize Platform capabilities needed to deliver member outcomes.
- Ensure Platform APIs and events align with regulatory requirements (NIST 800-63, HIPAA, FedRAMP, GDPR).

- Manage and mentor a team of Product Managers across multiple Platform resource, entity, and domain teams.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills; ability to influence across engineering, product, compliance, and GTM teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of product management experience, including at least 3 years managing Product Managers.
- Experience in identity, fintech, or other compliance-heavy platforms.
