Apple Inc. is looking for an engineer to work on DC/DC converters and power design for display systems, aiming to create high-quality, seamless consumer electronics products from end to end.
Requirements
- Guiding and implementing layout for high-speed analog, digital and power electronic circuits using Cadence design and simulation tools
- Implementing Python and JMP scripts to analyze large quantity data and automate tests
- Optimizing hardware processes to reduce test time and improve yields to maintain high quality semiconductor and system designs
- Conducting failure analysis of semiconductor and system level bugs due to manufacturing, electrostatic discharge (ESD), and system reliability design weaknesses
- Analog circuit design of power supply, display system, and power management integrated circuit (PMIC) in consumer electronics products
- Validating semiconductor and system level designs by measuring voltage levels and timings with oscilloscopes and waveform analyzers
- Characterizing and testing semiconductor and system level designs by testing corner silicon parts and comparing performance to typical silicon parts
Responsibilities
- Work on DC/DC converters and power design.
- Perform functional and electrical validation of Display systems.
- Debug circuits using standard lab tools like oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers and E-loads.
- Simulate and understand power supply behavior and distribution.
- Design PCBs and manufacture of PCBAs.
- Drive technical projects, from prototypes to mass production.
- Design high speed PCB schematics, guide layout engineers, and debug PCB boards.

- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or any related engineering field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or related position.
