Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is seeking an Embedded Hardware Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers in partnership with key company stakeholders through the development and sustainment of diverse product lines, impacting product development, personnel management, and process ownership.
Requirements
- Strong technical background with expertise in hardware development, testing, and sustainment.
- Proficiency in embedded processor design.
- Computer proficiency and a high level of organization with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed technical decisions.
- Ability to work onsite from our facility located at 9901 Silicon Prairie Parkway in Verona, WI.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in prior engineering and management roles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day responsibilities of the team in support of all assigned product development efforts including technical and schedule challenges and resource assignments.
- Lead and mentor a team of embedded hardware engineers, developing the team’s technical and leadership skills.
- Improve engineering tools, workflows, and processes to reduce inefficiencies.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering team.
- Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing regular feedback, conducting performance reviews, and maintaining team metrics.
- Handle HR-related responsibilities such as compensation discussions, employee engagement, and performance reviews.
- Foster a supportive and respectful work environment where employees feel heard and valued.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field.
- Minimum of seven (7+) years of relevant engineering experience, including two (2+) years in a management role.
- Ability to work onsite from our facility located at 9901 Silicon Prairie Parkway in Verona, WI.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
