Fractal Analytics is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead their Healthcare & Life Sciences practice and transform patient care, accelerate drug discovery, optimize healthcare operations, and improve overall health outcomes through groundbreaking technology solutions.
Requirements
- 15 to 20+ years of engineering leadership experience, with at least 5+ in healthcare, pharma, biotech, or MedTech domains.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale, mission-critical engineering programs (cloud, data platforms, AI, digital products).
- Deep knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM), clinical systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong background in modern engineering practices — microservices, APIs, DevSecOps, LLMOps, MLOps, cloud-native architectures.
- Hands on Architecting Capability
- Consulting Experience
- Excellent communication and executive stakeholder management skills.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the technology strategy for the HLS practice, aligned with business objectives and client needs.
- Lead innovation initiatives in AI/ML, GenAI, data platforms, digital health, and connected ecosystems.
- Oversee end-to-end engineering across multiple programs — from architecture and design to delivery and operations.
- Drive best practices in secure, compliant, and scalable software development (HIPAA, FDA, GDPR, GxP).
- Foster engineering culture of agility, reliability, and “fail-fast/learn-fast” experimentation.
- Build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams across data, cloud, platform, and application layers.
- Encourage continuous learning, research, and adoption of emerging technologies in healthcare and life sciences.
