Porch Group is looking to build a truly great company in the insurance technology space by implementing a new policy administration system and launching cutting-edge capabilities to redefine how they serve agents, consumers, and partners.
Requirements
- Experience with modern cloud-native architectures and technologies such as cloud, Kubernetes, Python, and React is a plus.
- Experience with ICFR and Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Experience with multiple policy administration systems
- Previous experience with multi-state and multi product insurance carriers with written premiums in excess of $300M.
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus.
- 15+ years in progressively responsible technology roles focused on insurance.
- Minimum 5 years in technology leadership of a property and casualty insurer.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, finance, design, and business to define and execute a multi-year engineering vision and strategy that aligns with Porch’s vision for Advantaged Underwriting and Best Services for Homeowners.
- Deliver customer focused solutions for independent agents, consumers, reinsurance partners and regulators that help us grow PIF faster than FTE and a superior gross loss ratio along with written premium growth.
- Champion the use of AI to optimize and modernize workflows to build a best-in-class insurance platform with industry leading KPIs and scale.
- Deliver a compliance focused set of technology solutions that meet NAIC, SEC and other regulatory requirements without sacrificing cost or great customer (agent and consumer) experience.
- Provide leadership in the development and continuous evaluation of short and long-term KPIs that align technology outcomes to meaningful value.
- Leverage deep insurance and technical expertise to influence executive leadership and guide teams through change.
- Provide thought leadership in the Insurance division. Contributes to industry or field topics of conversation.
Other
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus.
- 15+ years in progressively responsible technology roles focused on insurance.
- Minimum 5 years in technology leadership of a property and casualty insurer.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in leading teams, and proven successful track record of leading teams.
