Requirements
- 2+ years hands-on, professional software development experience
- 2+ years of experience coding in Python
- 2 years of experience using Amazon Web Services and supporting tools
- 2 years of experience building application features from large amounts of data
- 2 years of experience optimizing data storage and retrieval mechanisms
- Familiarity with cloud services for software development and hosting
- Experience with data intensive applications utilizing SQL / relational databases and NoSQL datastores
Responsibilities
- Work across the entire stack, helping to guide and refine development on our innovative platform
- Develop, monitor, and support a highly-available, cloud-based service
- Build application features from large amounts of data
- Optimize data storage and retrieval mechanisms
- Ensure the quality of a software platform
- Develop software using Python
- Use Amazon Web Services and supporting tools
Other
- 4-12 years of experience focused on software testing or ensuring the quality of a software platform
- BS in Computer Science, completion of a bootcamp + demonstrable engineering skills, or equivalent professional experience
- Ability to work 3 days per week in our great Pittsburgh, PA office space in East Liberty
- Excellent coding habits, including test-driven development, readable code, documentation, defensive coding, planning for efficiency and scale, etc.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, small company environment
