Citi is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director to lead Public Cloud Operations within its global Public Cloud organization to deliver world-class operational support and service desk capabilities for Citi’s public cloud platform, which spans AWS, GCP, and Snowflake.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 5 years in cloud operations leadership roles.
- Proven experience managing operations across major public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Snowflake).
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps practices.
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling service desk and support functions in large enterprises.
- Expertise in automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines).
- Experience defining and implementing operating models in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect) are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Lead day-to-day operations of Citi’s public cloud platform, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability across AWS, GCP, and Snowflake environments.
- Service Desk Management: Build and manage a cloud-focused service desk function to support internal customers, resolve incidents, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery.
- Customer Onboarding: Develop and execute onboarding processes that enable application teams to adopt public cloud services efficiently and securely.
- Automation Strategy: Drive a high degree of automation in operational workflows, including provisioning, monitoring, incident response, and remediation.
- Operating Model Definition: Define and implement a scalable operating model that governs interactions between application teams and the public cloud platform team, including roles, responsibilities, escalation paths, and SLAs.
- Metrics & Reporting: Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor operational health, customer satisfaction, and service performance.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with engineering, security, compliance, and application teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery of cloud services.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
