Anduril Industries is a defense technology company aiming to transform military capabilities with advanced technology. The Counter Intrusion team specifically develops systems for force protection, monitoring perimeters for threats using advanced sensor fusion and autonomy, and integrating legacy security systems into their Lattice ecosystem. The business problem is to provide scalable software solutions for these systems, reducing operator burden and enabling customers to achieve more with fewer personnel.
Requirements
- Strong technical background in at least one or more disciplines: robotics software, sensor integration, computer vision, software/hardware interfaces, backend software.
- Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and detailed requirements.
- Capable of solving complex technical problems with little oversight.
- Experience in full robotics system stack, from integrating sensor technology to robotic movement actuation
- Experience building and operating globally distributed eventually consistent networked software systems.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and building software solutions for high-volume data processing and sophisticated sensor data analysis.
- Deep understanding and previous systems leadership of complex robotics software programs
Responsibilities
- Own the team responsible for the development of all software components across the entirety of the Counter-Intrusion portfolio.
- Provide encompassing support for the technical execution of new software systems and robotics systems design, development, test, and productization.
- Lead the long-term functional engineering team development roadmap to ensure we have the skillsets, capabilities and workflows to enable successful execution of current and future programs.
- Collaborate across multiple teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality.
- Coordinate with end-users, other operators and customers to turn needs into features while balancing user experience with engineering constraints.
- Establish a center of excellence in Counter-Intrusion software design.
- Find, hire, manage, and mentor the team of internal and external subject matter experts, and communicate the vision for delivery of robust and reliable software solutions.
Other
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret Security clearance.
- Clear communication and organizational skills including documentation and training material.
- 10+ years of experience in a senior role leading software programs from initial concept through test and delivery to customers.
- Experience supporting software development and acquisition within the U.S. Department of Defense.
- Experience creating teams and focusing them around a common vision.
