Blue Ops is seeking a Head of Solution Architecture & Data Engineering to lead technical strategy, mentor engineering teams, engage with clients, and support pre-sales activities within their M&A consulting firm, leveraging deep expertise in the Microsoft data and analytics ecosystem.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or solution architecture with a focus on Microsoft technologies.
- Deep expertise in Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, SQL, Databricks, etc.).
- Strong experience with Power BI, data modeling, Python, and visualization best practices.
- Proficiency in cloud architecture, DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep).
- Experience and knowledge of AI/ML, Data Governance, and Security in an enterprise setting is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Define and lead the technical strategy for data and analytics solutions using the Microsoft tech stack (Azure Data Services, Fabric, Power BI, Databricks, Synapse etc.).
- Design and architect scalable, high-performance, and cost-effective data solutions for enterprise clients.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, specifically for Blue Ops technical data analysts, ensuring best practices in software development, DevOps, and data engineering.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business challenges and translating them into robust technical solutions.
- Oversee the implementation of architectures, ensuring high-quality execution and delivery excellence.
- Partner with sales and business development teams to craft technical proposals, demos, and proof-of-concepts.
- Engage in client conversations to understand needs, propose solutions, and contribute to RFP responses and proposals.
