Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is seeking to accelerate research towards new applications, core methodologies, and technologies in Artificial Intelligence at Hewlett Packard Labs to advance the frontiers of AI, focusing on areas like Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Reinforcement Learning, and optimization for transformative applications.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in deep learning research is required, preferably with Reinforcement Learning and Large Language Models.
- Experience in developing applications with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch with a high software proficiency.
- Research experience in Large Language Models (LLMs) and/or Reinforcement Learning
- Strong foundation in deep learning, with high proficiency in data structures and algorithms
- Hands-on experience with PyTorch and other leading machine learning frameworks (PyTorch required)
- Proficient in Python, with strong software development skills
- Publication record in top-tier ML/AI conferences or journals
Responsibilities
- LLM and agentic architectures with refinementsto enhance trust for complex applications and workflows.
- Multi-agent and multi-objective reinforcement learning for complex physical systems
- Generative models and Optimization for scientific domains such as inertial confinement fusion
- Scalable, safe AI systems that push the boundary of what’s possible in applied ML
