Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is seeking to address the challenges of electric vehicles through technology, specifically by designing and maintaining HIL (Hardware-In-The-Loop) systems used for software integration testing.
Requirements
- Through understanding of electronic and electrical first principles.
- Proficient with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
- Strong circuit board bring up and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong C/C++ programming skills.
- Proficient with software development on embedded microcontrollers.
- Experience programming STM32 ARM-based embedded systems is a plus.
- Experience with automotive communication protocols such as LIN, CAN, CANFD, automotive ethernet is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams and lead the planning and development of automotive HIL systems.
- Design custom test PCBAs to interface with automotive ECUs.
- Design the mechanical layout, ECU mounts, and cable harnesses.
- Develop and maintain all documentation, diagrams, and test instructions for the HILs.
- Support, maintain, and modify existing HILs.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced development environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
