Requirements

  • Ability to provide technical architectural direction input for Hogan systems processing, Hogan Release System.
  • Strong Mainframe development and support skills (Hogan Cobol, JCL, MF Utilities, Debugging tools), IMS DB skills. CICS skills, IBM Utilities, BMC utilities.
  • Knowledge of Tools like GitLab, CD/CI pipelines, API’s
  • Ability to design, build, test, debug and document system software and hardware solutions
  • Experience providing prompt and high-quality production support to complex mainframe legacy systems during incidents, events or problems using HOGAN, CICS, JCLs, Scheduler, TSO, Dump analysis and debugging, and ServiceNow
  • Ability to design, write, deliver, leverage monitors and dashboards that improve predictability and are actionable in a proactive manner (SPLUNK, Datadog)
  • Experience working on full Software Development life cycle including Agile, Scrum and Waterfall methodologies (development, implementation and support of mainframe Hogan Cobol applications)

Responsibilities

  • Supporting production applications and proactively looking for ways to automate discoveries, eliminate incidents from recurring and/or reduce the time it takes to get our customers back up and running.
  • Focus on improving the following for our applications: availability, latency, performance, efficiency, and effective proactive monitoring.
  • Developing, coordinating, and conducting technical reliability studies on engineering designs to assess the likelihood that a product/process performs its intended function over the intended lifecycle.
  • Measuring and analyzing the reliability of the design, materials, processes, cost, and final products of production.
  • Recommending design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability.
  • Completing risk analysis studies of new designs and processes.
  • Undertaking testing and analysis on failures, proposing changes in design or formulation to improve system and/or process reliability.

  • This role is posted as remote; however, candidates who are located near any one of our locations would be required to work on site at least three days per week.
