Allina Health is seeking to provide comprehensive patient care by hiring an EKG Technician to perform cardiovascular tests and analysis.
Requirements
- Vocational or Technical Training/Education in EKG or related health care discipline
- Coursework in Advanced EKG identification and EKG arrhythmia
- 1 year experience as EKG Technician or EKG Monitor Technician
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross
- Allina in-house BLS training upon completion of orientation
Responsibilities
- Performs 24-48 hour holter test analysis, using Bio-Tel heart scanning system to include superimposing scanning, heart rate variability program, QT and pediatric programs.
- Prepares and monitors cardiac stress tests.
- Provides service to multiple facilities.
- Analyses holter monitor data
- Provides fast and accurate scanning for in house (hospital) and multiple outreach facilities.
- Superimposes cardiac rhythms scans and creates detailed reports.
- Maintains knowledge of multiple cardiac rhythms.
Other
- Facilitate and participate in the continuum of cardiovascular care in partnership with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Complete visit preparation, room patients, gather applicable information and ensure complete and accurate patient records.
- Educate patients about planned procedures, their heart conditions, and the importance of the tests.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during tests.
- Support patients in the clinic setting, providing a safe and positive experience.
